Hot Fuzz (8/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:29 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:30 am

Not quite as funny as Shaun of the Dead, but entertaining nontheless.

The Devil’s Rain (4/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:29 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:29 am

Even Shatner and Ernest Borgnine in a goat mask can’t save this lame devil worshipers movie.

Who Saw Her Die (6/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:29 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:29 am

Predictable yet watchable giallo. Ennio Morricone music gets quite repetetive even though it’s a nice theme.

Rabid Dogs (8/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:28 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:28 am

Posthumous Bava film. Most of the action takes place in a car as bandits kidnap a woman, man and a child. Gets pretty gritty.

Horror Express (6/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:27 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:28 am

Okay horror film about a “fossil” that kills with a look.

The Decent (8/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:27 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:27 am

Very effective horror movie. Claustrophbia abounds.

The Case of the Bloody Iris (7/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:27 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:27 am

Well done giallo with a decent plot and a fair ending.

Short Night of the Glass Dolls (7/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:26 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:26 am

Initially compelling giallo that loses steam at the out-of-nowhere ending.

Seven Blood-Stained Orchids (5/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:25 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:26 am

Ho-hum giallo offering. You can see the earplug in Antonio Sabato’s ears at the climax.

Shock (7/10)

Posted on Jul. 1, 2007 - 11:24 amSep. 19, 2020 - 11:24 am

Horrible child acting ruins what would be a great thriller.
