Art Media: Intaglio
Intaglio is the printmaking technique in which the printing matrix (usually a sheet of metal like copper) is cut into with either engraving tools, sharp objects or acid. Ink is applied into the cut, lowered areas and wiped off off the raised surfaces to create the print.
