Der Lugomen

Although I haven't had much formal training as a musician, over the years I have enjoying playing, writing, and recording songs in one way or another. The closest thing I have to musical training is my time in fifth grade when I played coronet in the Washington Grade School band back in Peoria. I played a horn that I found in a dumpster. It was beat to hell, but could still play in tune. Later in my high school college years I picked up guitar from my younger brother, Greg, who had been taking lessons.

Electrical Audio BBQ

So, 1/3 of Nonagon posts in the Internet forums of Electrical Audio and, as a result, we will be playing at the super-secret underground music festival called the Electrical Audio BBQ (or something like that) on Saturday, June 12th at 1:40pm. We are not supposed to tell anybody about it but I figure no one reads this Web site, so I will promote it here. The address is 3722 W. Chicago Ave.

The Jesus Lizard Reunion Show

David Yow at Metro, Chicago Nov. 2009 This weekend, I actually left the house to see live music that wasn't Nonagon. Thanks to John H., I got offered to see The Jesus Lizard at Metro. The Jesus Lizard is one of those bands that, during the nineties, I saw at least half-a-dozen times. Their music basically became the blueprint for much of the stuff we wrote in Der Lugomen.
